Antonio (Tony Seibert) - Publisher/Songwriter
Antonio, as he is known to friends and industry associates, was born Anthony Lee Seibert in Tampa, Florida. Growing
up in Charlotte, North Carolina and Atlanta, Georgia, Tony's
musical journey began at age 8 with his performance in New
York's Madison Square Garden as the featured soloist with
the International Rotary Boys Choir. While still in high
school in Atlanta, he was signed as a recording artist and
released several records for Mercury Records. He
continued playing music as Tony Lee & The Choppers
throughout his college years at Cornell University at
Ithaca, New York.
Before leaving the music industry for several years, he was also
produced by Felton Jarvis (Elvis Presley's legendary
producer) for ABC Paramount Records, by Jimmy Hilton
(of Iron Butterfly fame) on Metromedia Records, and sang
with Bernie Leadon (founding member of The Eagles)
in a folk-oriented duo known as The Appalachians,
making several appearances on The Grand Ole Opry at
Nashville's Ryman Auditorium.
All of Tony's record releases included material he wrote
or co-wrote.
Tony moved to Nashville, Tennessee in the spring of 1997,
returning to the music industry to pursue a publishing and
songwriting career.
In April 1997, he founded eight spirits music (ASCAP)
located on Nashville's iconic Music Row.
His latest cuts (published by eight spirits music) include “They Also Serve” (John Conlee/Rose Colored Records), “They Also Serve” (John Conlee/Sony BMG), “Perfect!” (Dee Dee Dillon/Lightning Records), “Have You Seen Me?” (Dee Dee Dillon/Lightning Records), “Cowgirl Honey” (Dee Dee Dillon/Lightning Records), “Fallin’ Fast!” (Dee Dee Dillon/Lightning Records), “Perfect!” (Jernie Talles/Mirrome Records), “This Is What They Call Gone!” (Margaret Moore/TBA), “Saving Grace” (Carla Williams/TBA), “She Brings Down The House” (Karen Johnson/TBA), “They Also Serve” (John Conlee/Warner-Curb-Word Records), “Butterfly” (Jamie Hood/Farm Boy Records), “Have You Seen Her?” (Jamie Hood/Farm Boy Records), “Smoky Mountain Breakdown” (Jamie Hood/Farm Boy Records), “She Brings Down The House” (Joe Zacharias/Heartline Records), and “If I Am Dreaming” (Shani Copeland/Center Sound Records).
“They Also Serve” is included in the most recent album, and is the latest video and DVD single, from Grand Ole Opry star/country music legend John Conlee, on his independent label Rose Colored Records. The album was shipped to radio in September 2004 and the single in February 2005. The “They Also Serve” single garnered heavy rotation on thousands of radio stations across the United States, and captured the #1 spot on numerous independent airplay charts, such as Power Source. The video, John’s first in 20 years, was released in April 2005 and enjoyed heavy rotation on GAC for many weeks. John and “They Also Serve” were featured on the Bill Cody Show in February 2005 and in multiple guest spots on major network TV shows. The only secular tune included on John’s latest album, the gospel CD, “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus”, “They Also Serve” is scheduled to be the lead single on John’s forthcoming CD, “John Conlee – Classics II”. John is a regular on The Grand Ole Opry and always closes his performances with “They Also Serve”, routinely receiving standing ovations.
John Conlee’s single of “They Also Serve” is included in Sony/BMG’s compilation CD entitled “Patriotic Country 2” (released in April 2007--spending 24 weeks on the Billboard album charts) and in the Warner/Curb/Word Records compilation CD entitled “God Bless The USA” (released in April 2008--spending 20 weeks on the Billboard album charts).
